Six scholars (Li Jiangtao, Yang Zaigao, Chen Laiqing, Du Jiayuan, Yao Yang etc.) from Guangzhou Association of Social Science visited the CURS on 9 November 2006. They exchanged ideas with the Director, Prof. Li Si-ming, and the Associated Director, Dr. Wang Donggen, about the impacts that the development of Shenzhen has exerted on Hong Kong.  Specifically, Prof. Li Si-ming talked about the total  impacts in general and the effects of finance, trading and shipping, tourism and exhibition industry and high-tech industries in particular.
